Why This Series Matters

When prices rise, salaries remain the same, and the news adds new worries every day, the brain often switches into survival mode. Attention narrows, irritability increases, and many people begin to feel a loss of control. Some notice that even with the same income they start spending more in order to “calm down,” while others become completely paralyzed and postpone decisions altogether.

Research in crisis psychology (Journal of Economic Psychology, Stress and Health, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 2023–2026) shows that during economic instability ancient psychological mechanisms become activated: fear of loss, catastrophizing, and cognitive distortions. These reactions can lead people either to impulsive spending or to avoiding financial decisions entirely.

At the same time, individuals who maintain inner calm are more likely to make balanced decisions and adapt faster to changing conditions.

Our webinar series provides a calm and supportive environment where we explore how crises influence thinking and emotional reactions, why the brain responds so strongly to rising prices, and which psychological techniques help people maintain clarity, stability, and emotional balance even when “everything becomes more expensive.”

This series does not provide financial advice, promises of “earning more,” or unrealistic guarantees that “everything will be fine.” Instead, it focuses on understanding psychological mechanisms and providing practical tools that can help people navigate uncertainty in everyday life.
